In Deutschland wurde in 2021 mehr als 1\/5 der gesamten Bruttowertsch\u00f6pfung vom verarbeitenden Gewerbe erwirtschaftet, so Statista<\/a>. Seit einigen Jahren befindet sich die Branche im Wandel; die Digitalisierung und Automatisierung von Fertigungsprozessen, zusammengefasst unter dem Begriff Industrie 4.0, bietet gro\u00dfe Potenziale, z. B. f\u00fcr die Optimierung von Wertsch\u00f6pfungsprozessen, eine nachhaltigere Produktion oder die Schaffung neuer Gesch\u00e4ftsmodelle. Deutschland war mit \u00fcber 1,4 Billionen Euro im Jahr 2020 weltweit der drittgr\u00f6\u00dfte Exporteur von G\u00fctern, laut dem Bundesministerium f\u00fcr Wirtschaft und Klimapolitik<\/a>. Der Trend zu einer stark vernetzten Produktion muss also auch von deutschen Unternehmen konsequent umgesetzt werden, um international wettbewerbsf\u00e4hig zu bleiben.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Die Umsetzung der Digitalisierung im Produktionsumfeld stellt Unternehmen vor gro\u00dfe technische Herausforderungen, insbesondere im Bereich der IT-Sicherheit. Die Eckpfeiler der Industrie 4.0, dargestellt in Abbildung 1<\/a>, sind eine konsequente Vernetzung von Produktionsmaschinen (oder Field-Ger\u00e4ten) mit Systemen, welche die Maschinendaten sammeln und vorverarbeiten, sogenannten Edge-Ger\u00e4ten, sowie Cloud-Systemen, welche die Daten mit Hilfe von intelligenten Algorithmen analysieren um verschiedene Produktionsprozesse zu optimieren und aktiv zu steuern. In diesem Zusammenhang ist es wichtig, Angriffe auf die Industrieanlagen zu verhindern. Dazu muss eine IT-Infrastruktur geschaffen werden, die einen durchg\u00e4ngigen Schutz der in der Produktionsumgebung gesammelten Daten, ihren verarbeitenden Anwendungen und der Kommunikation zwischen den Teilsystemen erm\u00f6glicht. Doch gerade f\u00fcr kleine und mittlere Unternehmen (KMU), welche, nach Angaben des Statistisches Bundesamts<\/a>, mehr als 50 Prozent der Besch\u00e4ftigten in Deutschland ausmachen, m\u00fcssen L\u00f6sungen entwickelt werden, welche die Sicherheit der IT-Infrastruktur unter Verwendung etablierter Standardkomponenten erh\u00f6hen k\u00f6nnen, so dass die Integration dieser L\u00f6sungen in eine bereits bestehende Produktionsumgebung mit geringen H\u00fcrden verbunden ist.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Die Konsolidierungs-<\/a> und Security-Software<\/a> von Sanctuary erf\u00fcllt diese Anforderungen und bietet auf handels\u00fcblichen Computerger\u00e4ten einen kontinuierlichen Schutz sensibler Daten und eine Isolierung der verarbeitenden Anwendungen, von den Produktionsmaschinen bis zu den vorverarbeitenden Edge-Ger\u00e4ten und schlie\u00dflich der Cloud, wie dargestellt in Abbildung 2<\/a>. Diese sichere Zusammenarbeit auf allen Ebenen wird durch kryptografische Verfahren zur sicheren Kommunikation und Authentifizierung im Produktionsnetz sowie durch den konsequenten Einsatz von Trusted-Computing-Technologien realisiert, mit denen Sanctuary eine IT-Infrastruktur aufbaut, welche die Kapselung von Daten und Anwendungen gew\u00e4hrleistet. Sanctuary ber\u00fccksichtigt auch zus\u00e4tzliche Anforderungen, die in der Welt der eingebetteten Systeme besonders wichtig sind, z. B. die Wahrung von Echtzeitgarantien, die gleichberechtigt mit den Sicherheitsaspekten ber\u00fccksichtigt werden m\u00fcssen. Der Einsatz von Sanctuary in einer intelligenten Produktionsumgebung ist auch dann effektiv, wenn er inkrementell erfolgt, d. h. bereits der Einsatz auf einem einzigen Edge-Ger\u00e4t kann die Sicherheit einer intelligenten Fabrik erh\u00f6hen, z.
