We just gave a talk about applying lessons learned from Confidential Cloud Computing to the Edge at the Horizon Cloud Summit 2021.
Our talk at the Horizon Cloud Summit focused on next-generation confidential edge computing. We elaborate on current research in confidential cloud computing. We talk about combining confidential cloud computing with cloud-native workloads like containers, and requirements on their management. Then, we also bridge the gap to embedded edge devices, as they will be a major driver for autonomous cars or critical infrastructure. There, we discuss the importance of combining cloud-native deployment with security services like attestation for secure provisioning.
